What is it?RulesA round, step by stepReading the chartThe gamesFormats & payouts
What is Agon Challenge?A contest between people on one live price.

You and other players each call where one live price will go over a short time. Nobody buys an asset, and the platform never takes a side. Nobody at Agon can move the price.

Players who are right share the pot after a small fee. If nobody wins — nobody right, or everybody right — every stake comes back less an equal share of the fee.

Rules of Engagement

1. The Call Window10 seconds to lock your call. Missed it? Full refund, never a loss.

Once you’re matched you get 10 seconds to lock a call, whatever the trade length. If a call isn’t locked in time: in a Duel the whole round is voided; in a Small Group or Pool only that seat is refunded. Either way it’s a 100% refund, no fee, and never counted as a loss.

2. Calls are privateNobody sees anyone’s call until the round is over.

You never see whether anyone else has called, or what they called, until the round is over — and they never see yours. This stops anyone waiting for a signal and then sitting out risk-free.

3. No-call pause6 missed calls in 24 hours = 30-minute pause.

6 rounds without a call in 24 hours pauses matchmaking for 30 minutes, so the people you’re matched with get real rounds.

4. Loss-streak pause4 losses in a row = 1-hour pause.

4 losses in a row pauses matchmaking for 1 hour. Refunds and voids don’t count as losses; a correct call or a refunded round resets the count.

5. What a pause never doesNo fee, no change to your balance or record.

A pause never takes a fee, touches your balance or changes your record. It only stops new matches for a while, and the Arena shows it with a countdown.

6. Waiting for a matchNobody comes in 30 seconds? Your stake comes straight back.

A wait for real players lasts 30 seconds. If nobody comes, your stake comes straight back with no fee, and it never counts as a no-call or a loss. You can cancel any time before a match for a full refund. Once matched, the Call Window rules above apply.

Guides

A round, step by stepMatch → 10s call → trade → result.
  1. Match. You only meet players with exactly the same six settings: market, game, time, format, level and stake.
  2. Get ready. A 5-second count. You can still cancel here.
  3. Call Window — 10 seconds. One tap on Up, Same or Down locks your call.
  4. Trade. Starts from one shared price tick when the window closes — not from when anyone tapped.
  5. Result. The price at the last moment settles it. You see both prices with their exact times.

If the price can't be confirmed at any step, the round is cancelled with a full refund. It never settles on an old price.

Reading the chartCandles, indicators and three good habits.

Each candle is one period (1 minute, 5 minutes…). Green closed higher, red closed lower. Big candles mean a fast market; small ones a quiet market. Watch the chart before you start — the Call Window is for confirming your read, not starting cold.

Indicators

Open Indicators above the chart and tick the ones you want. None are on until you choose.

  • Short EMA (9) — a smoothed line of the recent average. Price above it leans up; below leans down.
  • Support / Resistance (pivots) — floors and ceilings the price has bounced off. Is it boxed in, or pressing on an edge?
  • Trendline (draw it) — draw it yourself with the pen on the chart: the drift over the last while — up, down or flat.
  • RSI (14) — is a move running out of steam? Works better on longer trades.
  • MACD (12, 26, 9) — does a trend have real strength? Works best on the longest trades.

Three habits

  • Don't force a call. A flat price often has no clear signal.
  • Fewer tools on fast trades — too many just add noise.
  • No tool guarantees a result. Good reads pay off over many rounds, not every round.
The gamesEvery game has exactly three calls.

Direction OPEN NOW

Where will the price be when the trade ends?

  • Up — ends higher than the opening price.
  • Same — ends exactly on the opening price.
  • Down — ends lower than the opening price.

If the price ends exactly where it started, nobody wins: every stake comes back less an equal share of the fee.

Range Call COMING SOON

Will the price leave the range, and which way?

  • Breaks Up — goes above the top line.
  • Stays Inside — stays between the lines the whole trade.
  • Breaks Down — goes below the bottom line.

Momentum Hold COMING SOON

Will the current push in the price carry on?

  • Continues Up — rises past the flat band.
  • Flattens Out — ends inside the flat band.
  • Continues Down — falls past the flat band.

Pace Call LATER

Index Duel LATER

Formats & payoutsDuel 10% · Group 11% · Pool 12% — only when someone wins.
  • Duel — 1 vs 1. 10% fee.
  • Small Group — 3 to 9 players. 11% fee.
  • Pool — 10 to 50 players. 12% fee.

Who gets paid

  • One right: takes the whole pot minus the fee.
  • Several right: they share it evenly. The fee never takes a right caller below their own stake.
  • Nobody right, everybody right, or no change: every stake back less an equal share of the fee (a Duel at 100: 90 back each).
  • Round cancelled (price problem, missed call, cancelled match): 100% back, no fee.
